Climbing routes in Picos de Europa with guide

In the climbs that take place in the surroundings of the cable car of Fuente Dé, we will meet the same day of the climb in the parking of the cable car one hour before its opening. Due to the deficient and late timetable of the cable car for mountain activities, there is the possibility to start all the activities at an appropriate time by using a 4×4 vehicle (35€  i/v). In short activities or close to the cable car is optional, in the longer and farther ones, its use will be mandatory. Using it we can do the activity with a good safety margin, without hurry, without people and without the long queues of the cable car in summer.

The climbs that take place in the area of Urriellu (Naranjo de Bulnes), such as the area of Cabrones or Torrecerredo, will have a duration of 2 days, one of approach and one of climbing, and it will be necessary to spend the night before in the the Vega de Urriello hut. In the area of Vegarredonda (Estrecha of Peña Santa, Cebolledas, Argaos, Poyones … etc) is the same, we will have to spend the night before in his hut.

If you plan to spend the night in the hut in summer, it is mandatory to make the reservation in advance as the occupancy rate is usually very high. The reservation is made only through the hut’s website. It is not necessary to book for the guide.

In the specific case of the South face of Peña Santa,  usually has to count on 3 days. One approach to the bivouac, another to climb and return to the bivouac, and the last to return to the car. It can be done in 2 days, but it will depend on the physical and technical capacity of the clients.
